The Day-to-Day Life of Albert Hastings
In 2001 while going to graduate school in Wales, photographer Kaylynn Deveney met 85-year-old Albert hasting and made it her job to record the small rituals and routines of his quiet life. In the book she published of the project, The Day-to-Day Life of Albert Hastings, each photo is accompanied by a caption written by Albert, giving two separate perspectives of the scene. This book motivates you to pay more attention to the people around you, and appreciate the day-to-day more. A lesson that I believe photographers are the best at teaching.
